Why We Do What We Do

Collaboration

We believe that public health system solutions can only be effective if they are developed where they will be applied, in collaboration with the people who will implement and operate them, in the areas where they work daily. This collaborative approach requires participation by all the stakeholders in developing a solution to a problem that is hindering the optimal performance of a public health system.

Empowerment

Sustainable improvements in public health systems require an empowered consumer of the solutions that are developed. This empowered consumer will have the ability to continue to implement the solutions long after they are developed. Without an empowered consumer, several public health system solutions cannot be long lasting.

Imagination

We believe that the power of imagination, the sense of "what if" will allow suitable solutions to be developed "in context" by local public health practitioners acting with our help and the help of other stakeholders to solve problems that prevent the optimal performance of public health systems. Without the power of imagination solutions that are possible but have never been tried before remain elusive.
